In the never-ending quest to find ways to publicize my upcoming book, I’ve had a book trailer made and I think it turned out really well. I hope you agree. Click here to view. It’s only about 40 seconds long.
I’m also working on the book launch party, which will be held on May 7th–launch day. It’s a few weeks away, but here’s a Save the Date heads-up! We’ll be holding it at Orozco’s Mexican Restaurant:
539 Front St, Ventura. 5:30-7:30. Prizes, food, networking, books.
Pictured below in front of the restaurant, on my left (facing the picture) is fellow author, James F. Gray and on my right, owner, Guillermo Orozco.
James will have his books at the party, too, as will Peter Sexton (aka Raul Melendez).
This will be my eighth or ninth launch party–I’m losing track. Anyway, we always have fun. Here’s a picture from the last one, for Written Off. I’m handing out drawing prizes. Everyone who shows up gets a free ticket for the drawings, and anyone who buys books gets a ticket for each book they purchase. Whoever brings a prize gets 30 seconds to give a commercial about anything they want. I get to sign books–who knows, maybe they’ll be worth a million bucks some day–and meet readers. What could be better?!
Besides the book trailer, I’ve got new bookmarks. If you would like one or some, just email me: firstname.lastname@example.org with your address. I would be thrilled to make you part of my “street team” and send you a stack to drop off at your local library and/or bookstore.
